About Us

Good Karma was founded to able to rescue in what we felt was the right way — from not leaving behind moms or siblings when rescuing, not skimping on veterinary care, and using fair placement practices during adoptions.

Good Karma was started by Stacey Tollackson in 2011 after experience volunteering and fostering for other local organizations.

We have grown from just a couple of foster parents to a network spanning hundreds of caring folks from Kendall to Port Saint Lucie with over a dozen partner veterinarians. We are now the largest foster-based rescue in Florida and saved over 2,000 dogs & cat in 2022.

We rescue dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, breeds, and medical conditions. As long as we can find safe, appropriate placement with one of our foster parents, we welcome them into our program.

Our mission is to save as many dogs & cats as we can with the human and financial resources we have. We are extremely careful with the donations entrusted to us, saving funds wherever we can so that we have the money to spend where it matters.

Beyond just adoptable dogs & cats, we now have programs in place to help terminally ill and unadoptable pets; community cats through our TNR program; and pet parents in need of affordable routine veterinary care through our Good Karma Pet Clinic.

We are the largest foster-based rescue in Florida.

Good Karma Pet Rescue saved over 2500 dogs & cats in 2021.

Opened our pet food pantry in 2022 to keep furry friends fed during hard times.

Our pet clinic helps those in need of affordable routined veterinary care.
